I ordered from worlddutyfree.com and the confirmation email came through quickly, which was a relief because I’m always a bit wary of being caught out or fooled when buying online. It had the main things I needed, like the order number, collection details, and what I’d bought. I did have to read it twice to find one bit of information, so that’s why I’d say 4 stars, but overall it was clear enough and I haven’t had any problems so far.

I had to try paying a couple of times before my card finally went through. The first attempt froze, then the second one showed a random error, so I wasn’t sure if anything was actually working. The booking did show up in the end, but because the payment process was glitchy, it didn’t leave me feeling very confident.

They kept things simple and helped me sort it out without a bunch of back and forth. The answers was clear, and that makes a big difference when you just need help.

I had to return an item because my trip plans ended up changing at the last minute, and I was expecting the whole refund process to be a bit of a pain. "Friendly enough, but a little hit and miss?"
I went through World Duty Free recently and, to be fair, most of the staff seemed nice enough. A couple of people smiled and helped me find what I was looking for, which I appreciated.
When I got to the till though, it felt a bit rushed, like they were trying to get me through as quickly as possible. Not exactly rude, but not especially warm either, if that makes sense?
Overall it was fine, just a bit mixed. Some staff were friendly, others not so much. I’d probably still shop there again if I had time, but I’m wondering if anyone else has had the same kind of experience

"Nice little perks, surprisingly enough"
I usually use World Duty Free when I’m flying from the UK, and to be fair, the loyalty benefits are actually better than I expected. The Red by Dufry points seem to build up fairly quickly, which is nice, especially since airport prices are hardly known for being gentle on the wallet.
Using it at the till is simple enough too — just show the card or app and that’s it, no dramatic performance required. It’s not exactly life-changing, but getting a few discounts on things I was already going to buy does make airport shopping feel slightly less painful. So yes, credit where it’s due, I’m happy with it so far

I used a promo code before my flight and ended up saving more than I thought I would. I’ve always felt like airport shops mark everything up, and this pretty much confirmed it for me because the prices were definitely better. The whole thing was easy enough to use, and I’d probably check it again next time I’m traveling.

I used the reserve and collect service before my flight and it worked fine overall. It only took me about 5 minutes to sort online, and it saved me wandering around the airport for ages. The only downside was the pickup queue, which felt like it took around 10 or 15 minutes, but apart from that it was easy enough.
